Candace Nkoth Bisseck is passionate about empowering people via entrepreneurship and digital innovation.
Candace built her career in the fields of innovation, telecommunications and digital economy in Europe, Asia and Africa. In 2014, she became the Country Manager of the e-commerce website Jumia Market in Cameroon and was in charge of growing and scaling up the startup in a financially sustainable way while empowering and contributing to the digital literacy of the local entrepreneurs. Candace now works with Stanford Seed, helping SMEs in Africa to scale-up their business through innovation.
Candace has founded digitalfordevelopment.org, a platform aiming to shed light on digital initiatives supporting the socio-economic development of the least privileged. She is also a recurrent speaker and advocate for Digital Innovation and a lever for development, and has been invited by organizations such as United Nations, WTO or local governments in Africa (http://bit.ly/2sbC2bg) to share her expertise on these topics.
Candace loves sports and travelling and defines herself as a World Citizen from Africa.
