Claude Borna, special advisor for the Presidency of Benin, leading the Sèmè City project
Claude Borna joined the Presidency of Benin in 2016, after President Patrice Talon gave her the mission to conceive and implement the International City of Innovation and Knowledge, one of the key projects of the development and investment programme Revealing Benin.
Claude Borna is from Benin, and was abroad for most of her studies and international career, which she specialised in business strategy and marketing. She graduated from UCLA and McGill University, and has worked for big names such as Deloitte, Amazon and Sony Pictures, which she left in 2014, after several years of being Senior Vice President Global Customer Strategy & Worldwide Commercial.
Her entrepreneurial spirit has led her to contribute to start up projects before coming back to Benin in 2014, where she now utilises her expertise in innovation, incubation and marketing to participate to her country’s development.
